Growing up in a small town in Tennessee, Joe studied acting at Northwestern University in Chicago before moving to New York. Joe soon shifted from on camera to behind camera finding his passion directing his first narrative short, The Line. A few festivals, and even more accolades later, Joe’s filmmaking career was set in motion. Joe currently splits his time between his own narrative films, web-promos, and shooting weddings. He lives in Brooklyn with wife, Tara, and cat, Akeru. Joe grinds his own coffee beans and rides a motorcycle when the sunshine beckons, because that's what cool people do.
